Doctrine/Dogma:
Children become aware that the New Life received from Christ through the Sacraments is shared with others within the community of the Church. Study of sacraments. Idea of God’s Presence in all we do, Creed as a statement of belief.
Prayer – Liturgical/Personal Prayers Reviewed:
Types of prayers are introduced. Prayer is communication with God.

Divine Liturgy and Services:
Divine Liturgy, its parts and encouragement of child’s participation in the Divine services.
Vespers, Orthros and Presanctified Liturgies are introduced.
Sacraments:
Baptism, Chrismation (Gift of the Holy Spirit), Holy Communion (Sacrament of Unity and Love), Confession (Sacrament of Forgiveness)
Ethics/Morality & Vocation:
The children are helped to see that the church is a community of believers who are called by God: to pray, to worship, to serve and minister to others, to be forgiving, to share the Good News and teach the message of Jesus Christ, as Christians to make moral choices.
